O’Toole announces Healthcare for the 21st Century
Dr. Daniel Lindsay endorses O’Toole for CPC Leader
Canada is proud of our healthcare practitioners, our history of medical innovation and our longstanding tradition of universal healthcare. But Canada’s healthcare system is in jeopardy.
More Canadians are accessing healthcare service every year, our wait lists are longer than ever and we are falling further behind in innovation. Under the current system, Canadians who get sick can lose their home to medical expenses. That’s not universal healthcare. This morning, Erin O’Toole released his plan to bring healthcare into the 21st century and secure universal access for generations to come.
O’Toole worked closely with former CPC Leadership candidate Dr. Daniel Lindsay in the development of the policy.
The full policy is attached.
“Team building is critically important in winning elections and running an effective government. I have tremendous respect for the personal sacrifice, commitment and talents of the current leadership candidates. I am, however, supporting Erin O’Toole for leader of the Conservative Party of Canada. He will attract the high quality candidates needed to win the next federal election. He is a respected and level-headed leader, as demonstrated by his military and political experience. It takes courage as a politician to talk about healthcare and confront the real issues facing Canadians. Erin O’Toole is that rare true leader who respects and is respected by the other leadership candidates in this race. He is uniquely positioned to build the winning team and challenge Trudeau in the next election.” – Dr. Daniel Lindsay
“It is an honour to have the support of Dr. Dan Lindsay. I have tremendous respect for Dr. Lindsay’s contributions as a healthcare leader in Canada and especially for his five tours of duty as a civilian physician working with the Canadian Armed Forces in Afghanistan. He is a thoughtful and tireless advocate and I look forward to working with him as we build the winning conditions for the Conservative Party in the next election.” – Erin O’Toole, MP for Durham
